If you ended up here, you probably are familiar with cryptocurrencies, NFT and all those coins, tokens. They are currently more than 7,800 coins or tokens available on the market, and more popping up everyday.

If you already invested some money on that market, you are probably spending a lot of your time checking if you are winning or losing money. The purpose of this article is to help you track your wallet using a telegram bot. This would save you tremendous time, saving it to dig into more tokens & investments.

Telegram

This is a must, if you don’t already have telegram, I’ll advise you to download it in your favorite platform ( phone, desktop ). Most of the crypto news and interactions with projects are done using Telegram.

Alright, but why telegram ?

I’d guess cause it was easier and free. I am not entirely sure yet why that platform over others, but if you do have the answer, please leave a comment, will happily update this article.

EtherDrops Tracking Bot

Well, let’s get into business now that you all have a telegram setup.

First, you’ll need to search in Telegram “EtherDrops Tracking Bot” it should look like this :

I see a lot of them, even in your screenshot there seems to be duplicate

That’s correct, there is a few of them but they all do the same thing, it’s to prevent the bot to be too slow. They should all have a same telegram handle “@EtherDROPS{number}_bot”, number being 1,2,3,4,5.

I’d advise you to pick the 3,4 or 5, it doesn’t matter and you can change at anytime.

How does it work

Now that you picked up your favorite bot, which I am guessing is the 4th (if it is, I deserve a clap don’t I on this article ? )

We can start interacting with your bot. The first command you can use is :

  • “/menu”, this would open up a menu similar to this ( note you can as well open the menu with the icon near the emoji icon ):
menu ether bot

As you can see with this you can do a lot of nice things :

  • Watch your wallet, ins & outs. This is very helpful when doing transactions or swapping
  • Watch coins that you like for nice prices
  • Watch pools
  • Have an alert on gas fees

  • Click on “Add Wallet”
  • Choose the network ( ETH or BSC ), in this case I am in the ETH network.
  • Copy your Metamask ETH address ( you can click on the address on the top , Under Account, this should copy the address into your clipboard )
  • Reply to the bot with your ETH address
  • Put a label for your wallet
  • Select the type of transactions you’d like to be informed, all for ins & outs.

Congratulations ! You setup your wallet. Now if anything goes in or out of your wallet, you’ll receive a message from the bot.

Track your favorite coins

Back to the menu you can now click on “+Add Coin

  • Put the coin symbol you are looking for
  • Select using the button numbers bar the coin you are looking for
  • Select the source of price DEX or CEX when available ( DEX for decentralised exchanger like Uniswap, 1INCH, or CEX for centralized echanger )
  • Choose the currency available USD for example
  • Enter the % price you’d like to receive notifications for. For example “10” for 10% change. If the coins drop or goes up by 10% over a small amount of time ( I believe an hour ) this would send you a message.
  • The bot should tell you that the coins was added to your list.

You can list all your coins through the menu by clicking “Coins

Example of selection of a coin

Simply repeat those steps for all the coins. This is VERY handy once you built your list and help you keep a track on all your assets. Letting you know when prices are going down or up. This would save you time, energy and hopefully money too.

Let me know if you’d like more about how to set up the gas alert or the

Bonus

I probably forgot to mention that this is completely FREE, and this is only a small introduction to all the potential of that tool. You can find out more about it in their medium
